Following the shock departure of lead vocalist Mikey Chapman, Cambridge four piece Mallory Knox have released new single ‘Black Holes’ with Sam Douglas stepping forward to front the band.
The new single ‘Black Hole’ is a treading into new territory. Where Mallory Knox lost some of their heavier edge on 2017’s Wired they’ve gone back to their roots for Douglas’ lead vocal debut. Sam Douglas’ vocals are rougher round the edges but they no longer stand to contrast Chapman’s so they glide over the instrumental without a hitch.
Alongside ‘Black Holes’ the band have announced a tour of intimate UK shows where they’ll revisit Mallory Knox’s back catalogue as a four piece.
