Pale Waves release Noises video and Eighteen

Pale Waves appear to be on a roll that’s only gaining in momentum this summer, following the release of the ‘Noises’ video (have a little watch below) they’ve only gone and dropped another track called ‘Eighteen’. All this excitement only seems to confirm the rumours that album announcements or even a surprised drop is imminent, would be brave for a small band like this to surprise drop their debut album but with Matty Healy as a mentor anything is possible.

The new track is the 80s tinged, jangly thing that you’d come to expect of Pale Waves at this point. The opening has the humble, fade in beginning that could be from the likes of a dad rock band like Bon Jovi but it’s transported to an entirely different Soft Cell, Ultravox part of the 80s. There’s an Ultravox vibe there for sure, dabbing with the rose tinted glasses and saddened hindsight of being young and in love.

Give the track a listen here and keep your eyes peeled for album announcements, with a full UK tour in October there’s no doubt that the announcements will be coming in thick and fast soon so there’ll be plenty more material for October.
