Sports Team’s polished new single ‘M5’

Sports Team fire out their first single of 2019 in the form of ‘M5’. It’s a upbeat zany affair leaning on The Dandy Warhols’ ‘Bohemian Like You’ to get it off the ground. The single comes after a massive year for the band in 2018 which saw them become favourites of many major magazines including NME and Dork.

The gleaming single is a little slicker than we’re used to from the band, Sports Team often opting for a rough around the edges, imperfect sound like what we’ve seen before on ‘Kutcher’ and ‘Margate’. ‘M5’ takes on the subject of the mundane nature of life in Britain and how maybe it should be celebrated for what it is.

Sports Team embark upon their most ambitious run of shows yet in March, seeing them travel the UK including a stop off in Newcastle for Hit the North festival.
