Fossway mark their first release of 2019 with new single ‘No Heart in the Heart of the City’ after successful gigs in both Newcastle and Leeds. The single is the band’s most ambitious to date.
‘No Heart in the Heart of the City’ is a grittier take than that of previous singles ‘Mannequin’ and ‘Parasite’ but with more substance in the lyrics. The verse and chorus bounce between indie, rock and at times there’s even elements of punk to be seen.
Frontman Daniel Mason explains: “No Heart in the Heart of the City is about how many government globally, don’t support the creative arts in the form of music, art, photography, dance, etc.”
“The struggle for creative people to get their art seen or heard and, consequently, make a living from their artistic endeavours seems to be becoming increasingly harder.”
