Leopard Rays: I’m Japan

Leopard Rays burst into 2019 with new single ‘I’m Japan’. The Hartlepool based four piece made waves with previous single ‘Easy Tiger’ that was likened to big rock bands like Nothing but Thieves and Echo and the Bunnymen.

‘I’m Japan’ is roaring from the beginning, lulling into massive guitars with that simple intro before pulling the listener in all directions. The chorus crashes in with a wall of sound, a flurry of guitars with frontman belting out the line “it comes in waves” over the top of them.

The single has proved Leopard Rays to be bigger and brighter than what they seem. It won’t long before they’re making waves outside the region.

Listen to ‘I’m Japan’ right here and catch them play the NARC. stage at Stockton Calling on Saturday.
