Motel Carnation’s slick new single ‘Baby, You’re a Nightmare’ drops

Motel Carnation have released live favourite ‘Baby, You’re a Nightmare’. The single was recorded with Sam Fender’s longtime creative partner Bramwell Bronte in Wor House, North Shields.

The trio have always been experts at blending the smooth RnB beats with vocals/style of AM era Alex Turner. ‘Baby, You’re a Nightmare’ has been catching people’s attention (including mine) since their debut show at Head of Steam over six months ago so this release has been a long time coming.

About the song, guitarist Austin has said: “It’s about perception mostly, the gap that’s sometimes there between your version of events and another person’s; and how that can have explosive consequences romantically.”

“The song itself is an exercise in finally putting yourself in that other person’s shoes; and not pulling any punches about what you see. There’s still some tenderness in the hopelessness of it all, but whether that’s how things really transpired is down to perception again.”

You can listen to ‘Baby You’re a Nightmare’ right here and catch Motel Carnation headline Think Tank? Underground on 7th March with support from SÅGABOi.
